There are several different ways to steer outboard motor’s, mostly depending on the room available and the design o f the individual boat’s engine well. By far the most popular of our Outboard steering cylinders are the ‘bullhorn” units. The new 211BH cylinder is the latest in our range of top quality marine steering cylinders, utilising state-of-the-art reinforced horn mouldings for absolute electrolytic insulation and high impact absorption which gives added protection to the tiller mouting bolt.
What sets these HyDrive cylinders apart from the competition is the materials used to build them. While other brands use only anodised or painted aluminium alloy cylinders, the HyDrive Admiral Series offers Chromed Brass Bronze and stainless steel – truly built for the toughest marine environment. The 211BH cylinder mounts very simply to the tilt-tube of the outboard motor and fits neatly under the front of the motor cowling. The compact design requires only 540mm clearance, considerably less space than our competitors. Designed for use with single outboards up to 300HP or dual (counter-rotating) outboards up to combined 600HP.
